Description

A delightful way to preserve the crisp, sweet flavor of apples, perfect for spreading on toast or serving with cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups apple juice
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 package (1.75 oz) fruit pectin
  • 5 cups granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine apple juice and lemon juice.
  2. Stir in the fruit pectin and cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly until it boils.
  3. Add granulated sugar all at once, stirring to combine, and return to a boil for 1 minute.
  4. Remove from heat, skim off foam, pour into sterilized jars, and process in a boiling water bath for 5-10 minutes.

Notes

Use fresh, high-quality apple juice for the best flavor. Properly sterilize jars to prevent spoilage.
