Description
Chewy and nutty oatmeal fig bars that are easy to make and perfect for snacks or breakfast on the go.
Ingredients

- 1 cup of rolled oats
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of butter, melted
- 1/2 cup of chopped dried figs
- 1/4 cup of honey
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it if desired.
- In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt. Stir to mix evenly. Add melted butter, honey, and vanilla, and stir until moistened. Fold in chopped figs.
- Press the mixture firmly into the prepared baking pan, compacting it well. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
- Allow to cool completely in the pan before lifting out and cutting into 9 bars.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or 7 days in the refrigerator. Freeze individually wrapped for up to 3 months.
