Description

A refreshing salad featuring crisp Honeycrisp apples, tangy feta, crunchy walnuts, and a bright balsamic vinaigrette.


Ingredients

  • 2 Honeycrisp apples, sliced
  • 4 cups mixed greens
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinaigrette
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash the mixed greens and apples. Thinly slice the Honeycrisp apples and red onion. Chop the walnuts if necessary. Crumble the feta if it isn’t pre-crumbled.
  2. In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, sliced apples, crumbled feta, walnuts, and red onion.
  3. No cooking needed. Optionally, toast walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for 2–3 minutes until fragrant, then cool.
  4. Drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette and toss gently to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a brighter flavor, consider using a citrus vinaigrette instead of balsamic. To prevent the apples from browning, toss slices with lemon juice before assembly.
