- 1 package of chocolate graham crackers
- 2 cups of milk
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup of cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of mini marshmallows
- Chocolate shavings or whipped cream for topping
Instructions
- In a saucepan, whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, and cornstarch. Gradually add milk while stirring until well combined.
- Cook the mixture over medium heat. Stir continuously until the pudding thickens and bubbles — this should take about 10 to 15 minutes. Once it thickens, remove it from heat and stir in the vanilla extract for extra flavor.
- In a large dish, start by laying chocolate graham crackers at the bottom. Then, pour a layer of the chocolate pudding mixture over the crackers. Repeat the layering process, alternating between the crackers and pudding, until all ingredients are used. Finish with a smooth layer of pudding on top.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes, or overnight, to let the layers set properly and meld the flavors beautifully.
- Before serving, sprinkle mini marshmallows and add chocolate shavings or a dollop of whipped cream on top to amp up the indulgence.
Notes
Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Avoid freezing to maintain texture. For a richer flavor, substitute half of the milk with chocolate milk.
