Description

A delightful appetizer featuring fresh tomatoes with sweet hot honey atop crispy, toasted baguette slices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 baguette, sliced
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup hot honey
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese (optional for spreading)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) for ideal crispiness.
  2. Arrange the sliced baguette on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  3. While the baguette is toasting, mix halved cherry tomatoes, chopped basil, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Once the crostini are out of the oven, spread ricotta if using, then top with the tomato mixture and drizzle with hot honey. Serve immediately.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh out of the oven. Pair with white wine or sparkling beverages.
