- 1/4 cup Irish cream liqueur
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or leave them ungreased for a slight crisp on the bottom.
- Measure ingredients and bring the butter and eggs to room temperature for easier mixing.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and light in a large bowl.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the Irish cream liqueur and vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto prepared cookie sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges are golden and the centers appear set but still soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the cookie sheets for 2 to 3 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Store cooled cookies in an airtight container to preserve texture. For softer cookies, place a slice of bread in the container.
