Description

Delightful finger food with a creamy mushroom filling inside buttery, flaky pastry, perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • Puff pastry
  • 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out puff pastry and cut into 2-inch squares.
  2. Place squares in a greased mini muffin tin to form pastry cups.
  3. Sauté chopped mushrooms and garlic in a skillet over medium heat until soft, about 5 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix sautéed mushrooms with cream cheese, Parmesan, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spoon mushroom mixture into pastry cups and brush edges with beaten egg.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until pastry is golden brown and flaky.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
