- Puff pastry
- 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 egg, beaten (for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out puff pastry and cut into 2-inch squares.
- Place squares in a greased mini muffin tin to form pastry cups.
- Sauté chopped mushrooms and garlic in a skillet over medium heat until soft, about 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix sautéed mushrooms with cream cheese, Parmesan, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Spoon mushroom mixture into pastry cups and brush edges with beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until pastry is golden brown and flaky.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
