Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (e.g., mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until browned, then drain excess fat.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, potatoes, onion, bell pepper, cream of mushroom soup, and milk. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir well.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish, top with cheese, and cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 45 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  5. Let cool slightly before serving.
