Description

A vibrant sandwich that turns leftover turkey into a satisfying lunch with sweet-tart cranberry sauce and crisp greens.

Ingredients

  • sliced leftover turkey
  • cranberry sauce
  • bread (your choice)
  • lettuce or spinach
  • mayonnaise (optional)
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing your ingredients. If you want warm turkey, heat slices in a microwave for 20–30 seconds or briefly warm them in a skillet. Choose your bread and wash the lettuce or spinach.
  2. Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread (if using). Layer sliced turkey on one slice of bread, adding cranberry sauce on top.
  3. (Optional) Toast the bread lightly or grill the sandwich in a skillet for 1–2 minutes per side if desired.
  4. Place lettuce or spinach over the cranberry sauce, season with salt and pepper, and top with the second slice of bread. Slice the sandwich in half and serve immediately.

Notes

Use day-old or toasted bread to prevent sogginess. Adjust sweetness by spreading cranberry sauce thinly.
