Description
A quick and comforting pan-fried tofu dish with a savory, slightly nutty marinade, perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 14 oz firm tofu
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice or quinoa for serving
Instructions
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1-inch cubes. Pat each cube dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, olive oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
- Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and gently toss to coat. Let sit for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated tofu in a single layer and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 8–10 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving. Serve hot over cooked rice or quinoa.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate up to 1 hour. Adjust seasonings based on personal preference and consider adding vegetables for a complete meal.
