Description

A bright, fruity twist on classic tiramisu with soft panettone soaked in matcha-cherry mix and layered with silky mascarpone cream.


Ingredients

  • 1 panettone
  • 1 cup cherry jam
  • 1 cup brewed matcha tea
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cocoa powder for dusting
  • Cherries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice the panettone into even layers about 1 inch thick. Brew the matcha tea and let it cool until lukewarm. Measure out the cherry jam and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, whisk the cooled matcha tea with the cherry jam until smooth. Adjust sweetness if needed.
  3. Dip each panettone layer briefly into the matcha-cherry mixture. Layer the soaked panettone in a serving dish.
  4. In another bowl, whip heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and mascarpone until soft peaks form. Spread half of the mixture over the first panettone layer, then repeat the layering.
  5. Finish with the remaining cream on top, refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving. Dust with cocoa powder and garnish with cherries before serving.

Notes

Use good-quality matcha for the best flavor, and chill cream equipment for stable peaks.
