- 8 slices thick-cut bacon
- 4 oz goat cheese, crumbled
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- Fresh herbs (like thyme or parsley), chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange bacon strips in a single layer on the sheet, overlapping slightly if needed.
- In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup, brown sugar, chili flakes, and ground black pepper. Brush the mixture generously over each bacon strip.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the glaze is caramelized. Watch closely in the last 5 minutes.
- Let the bacon cool slightly before topping with crumbled goat cheese and sprinkling with chopped fresh herbs. Serve warm.
Notes
