Description
A delightful fusion of miso flavors and fresh vegetables, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- 3 tbsp miso paste
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- 8 oz noodles (udon or soba)
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cucumber, julienned
- 1 cup edamame, shelled
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the miso paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, and honey to create a flavorful marinade for the steak.
- Add the steak to the marinade, making sure it is well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes to absorb those delicious flavors.
- While the steak is marinating, cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set them aside.
- Grill or pan-sear the marinated steak to your desired doneness, which typically takes about 5-7 minutes per side for medium-rare. Afterwards, let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing to maintain its juices.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, sliced bell pepper, julienned cucumber, shelled edamame, and sliced green onions to create a vibrant salad.
- Slice the rested steak thinly and place it on top of the noodle salad.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds for an added crunch and serve immediately while everything is fresh.
Notes
Use high-quality miso paste for the richest flavor; white miso is milder while red miso offers a deeper umami taste. Adjust the honey based on your sweetness preference.
