Description

A rich and decadent molten lava cake with a silky warm center that flows out when cut, perfect for dessert lovers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins well with butter or nonstick spray and set them on a baking sheet.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and chocolate together in short bursts, stirring until smooth and glossy.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until well blended. Stir the warm chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until combined. Carefully fold in the flour and salt.
  4. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins and bake for about 12–14 minutes until the edges are set and centers look slightly jiggly.
  5. Remove from the oven and let sit for 1 minute. Invert the ramekins onto plates, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm.

Notes

Serve immediately for the best molten center. Pairs well with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
