Description
A delightful mix of savory steak, melted cheese, and colorful vegetables wrapped in a golden, flaky crust.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb flank steak, cooked and sliced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 lb pizza dough
- 1 beaten egg for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and green bell peppers. Sauté until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked flank steak, sautéed vegetables, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, about ¼ inch thick. Spread the steak mixture evenly over the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log, sealing the ends. Place seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the top with beaten egg and cut slits in the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
