Description
This no-knead dill Gouda artisan bread is an easy, hands-off loaf that fills the kitchen with a warm, cheesy aroma.

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped
- 1 cup Gouda cheese, shredded
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and instant yeast. Stir the dry ingredients together and pour in the warm water, stirring until a sticky dough forms. Fold in the dill and Gouda.
- Cover the bowl and let rise at room temperature for 12–18 hours until puffy and bubbly.
- Lightly flour a work surface, turn out the dough, and shape it into a round loaf. Let it rest for 20–30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) with a Dutch oven inside for 30 minutes.
- Transfer the dough to the preheated Dutch oven, cover, and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For a shinier crust, brush the top lightly with olive oil after baking. Store wrapped in a paper bag for up to 2 days or freeze slices for up to 3 months.
