Description

A cozy and nutritious baked oatmeal dish featuring tender apple pieces, warm spices, and a golden top.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk (or almond milk)
  • 2 apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup raisins or nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine oats, milk, diced apples, brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir until mixed. In another bowl, whisk eggs and vanilla, then combine with oat mixture and fold in raisins or nuts if using.
  3. Pour the mixture into the baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and set.
  4. Let cool slightly before slicing and serve warm with milk or syrup.

Notes

For best texture, use slightly firm apples. This dish can be made ahead and reheated easily.
