A delightful mashup of brownies and cookies featuring a chewy brownie base and a crunchy layer of Oreo cookies.

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 package Oreo cookies
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish. Line with parchment paper for easy lifting.
- Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture until just blended. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread half of the dough into the bottom of the prepared pan. Layer Oreo cookies over the dough in a single layer.
- Cover with the remaining dough. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.
Notes
Serve with vanilla ice cream or milk. Store in an airtight container.
