Description

A delightful dessert that combines buttery puff pastry with sweet peaches and crunchy almonds.

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 23 ripe peaches, sliced
  • 1/4 cup almond flour or ground almonds
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Sliced almonds (for topping)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and transfer it to a baking sheet.
  2. Spread almond flour evenly over the pastry surface.
  3. Arrange peach slices on top of the almond flour, overlapping them slightly.
  4. Sprinkle granulated sugar and drizzle vanilla extract over the peach slices.
  5. Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling to create a border.
  6. Brush the edges with beaten egg for a golden color.
  7. Scatter sliced almonds on top for added crunch.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar, if desired.
