- 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish or line with parchment paper. Rinse and drain black beans.
- In a food processor, combine black beans, eggs, peanut butter, cocoa powder, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt. Blend until smooth and glossy.
- Stir in chocolate chips if using, folding them into the batter evenly.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top. Bake for 25–30 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack, at least 30 minutes.
- Cut into 9 squares and serve warm or at room temperature.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, 5 days in the refrigerator, or freeze for up to 3 months.
