- 10 mozzarella sticks
- 1 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 cup pizza sauce (for dipping)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Preheat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut mozzarella sticks in half, then wrap each piece with a slice of pepperoni.
- Set up a breading station: place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with Italian seasoning in a third.
- Dip each pepperoni-wrapped mozzarella stick first in flour, then in egg, and finally in breadcrumbs.
- Carefully place the breaded sticks into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove the fried mozzarella sticks and drain them on paper towels.
- Serve hot with pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
For best results, use high-quality mozzarella and do not overcrowd the pot while frying.
