Ingredients

  • 10 mozzarella sticks
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 cup pizza sauce (for dipping)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut mozzarella sticks in half, then wrap each piece with a slice of pepperoni.
  3. Set up a breading station: place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with Italian seasoning in a third.
  4. Dip each pepperoni-wrapped mozzarella stick first in flour, then in egg, and finally in breadcrumbs.
  5. Carefully place the breaded sticks into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove the fried mozzarella sticks and drain them on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality mozzarella and do not overcrowd the pot while frying.
