Description

Delicious bite-sized snacks combining pepperoni and gooey mozzarella, perfect for game days and movie nights.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, cut into sticks
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 cup pizza sauce (for dipping)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat the egg and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Dredge each mozzarella stick in flour, dip in the egg, and then coat with breadcrumbs.
  3. In the center of each breaded stick, place a slice of pepperoni.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the sticks until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. For longer storage, freeze before frying and cook from frozen.
