Description

A delightful, creamy black bean dip, perfect for gatherings or snacking at home.


Ingredients

  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped (optional)
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. In a blender or food processor, combine the black beans, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
  2. Blend the mixture until it’s smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. For a chunkier dip, blend for a shorter time.
  3. Taste the dip and adjust the seasoning as desired, stirring in cilantro if using.
  4. Serve the dip immediately with tortilla chips, or refrigerate until ready to enjoy.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños. For a creamier texture, mix in Greek yogurt or sour cream.
