Description

Quick, kid-friendly pizza triangles with gooey mozzarella and savory pepperoni inside a soft, chewy pocket.


Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Flour for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut the dough into triangles (or use a pizza cutter for better shapes). Dust lightly with flour to prevent sticking.
  2. Spread a spoonful of pizza sauce on each triangle. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese, pepperoni slices, and a pinch of Parmesan cheese on top. Keep the sauce and toppings away from the edges so the pockets can seal.
  3. Fold the triangles in half and press the edges to seal (use the tines of a fork if needed). Place the pizza triangles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle the tops with Italian seasoning. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
  4. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving so the filling sets slightly and won’t burn mouths. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping if desired.

Notes

For a golden top, brush with beaten egg before baking. Flexible for substitutions; use different meats or vegetables as desired.
