Description
Quick, kid-friendly pizza triangles with gooey mozzarella and savory pepperoni inside a soft, chewy pocket.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pizza dough
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Flour for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut the dough into triangles (or use a pizza cutter for better shapes). Dust lightly with flour to prevent sticking.
- Spread a spoonful of pizza sauce on each triangle. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese, pepperoni slices, and a pinch of Parmesan cheese on top. Keep the sauce and toppings away from the edges so the pockets can seal.
- Fold the triangles in half and press the edges to seal (use the tines of a fork if needed). Place the pizza triangles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle the tops with Italian seasoning. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving so the filling sets slightly and won’t burn mouths. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping if desired.
Notes
For a golden top, brush with beaten egg before baking. Flexible for substitutions; use different meats or vegetables as desired.
