A delicious protein-packed stuffed shells recipe featuring cottage cheese for a light, creamy texture, baked in marinara until golden.

- 16 jumbo pasta shells
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 jar marinara sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together cottage cheese, ricotta, 1/2 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper. Stir until smooth.
- Spread marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Stuff each shell with the cheese mixture and arrange in the dish. Pour remaining sauce over shells and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil, bake for an additional 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden. Let cool before serving.
Notes
For best results, use slightly undercooked shells and adjust seasoning to taste. Can be made ahead and refrigerated.
