Description

Puff Pastry Christmas Trees are a delightful and visually appealing treat perfect for festive gatherings, easy to make with a variety of fillings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • Flour for dusting
  • Your choice of filling (pesto, cheese, chocolate)
  • Sesame or poppy seeds (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and thaw the puff pastry according to package instructions.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry to about 1/8 inch thick and cut into tree shapes.
  3. Place a spoonful of filling on half of the cutouts and top with the other half, creating little pastries.
  4. Brush the edges with beaten egg to seal, sprinkle with seeds if desired, and brush the tops with egg wash.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For best results, chill the assembled pastries for 15 minutes before baking.
