A delightful treat combining warm, crusty bread with rich, melted cheese and fragrant herbs, perfect for gatherings or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of bread (e.g., ciabatta or artisan)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., mozzarella or cheddar)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, basil, oregano, and salt.
  3. Using a serrated knife, cut the loaf into cubes without cutting all the way through.
  4. Pour the garlic herb butter mixture evenly over the bread.
  5. Stuff the shredded cheese into the cracks of the bread.
  6. Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the bread is golden.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For added flavor, serve with marinara sauce for dipping. Experiment with different cheeses and herbs for a unique twist.
