Description

Quick Florentines are delightful biscuits combining dried fruits, nuts, and rich dark chocolate, perfect for any occasion and easy to make.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 100g mixed dried fruit (raisins, apricots, cherries)
  • 100g nuts (almonds, hazelnuts)
  • 100g dark chocolate
  • 100g sugar
  • 100g butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter, sugar, and honey in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and add mixed dried fruit, nuts, vanilla extract, and flour. Stir until combined.
  4. Drop spoonfuls onto the prepared baking tray, spacing them an inch apart.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool on tray.
  6. Melt dark chocolate and dip the bottoms of the cooled Florentines, then let set on a rack.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze for up to three months.
