Description
A simple and comforting dessert featuring tart raspberries under a warm, buttery crumble topping.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups raspberries
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly butter or spray a small baking dish (about 8×8 inches). In a bowl, combine raspberries with half of the brown sugar and toss gently. Let sit to draw out juice.
- In another bowl, mix flour, rolled oats, remaining brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add melted butter and stir until the mixture holds together in crumbs.
- Spread raspberries in the baking dish and scatter the crumble mixture over them. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and cool for 10–15 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
Notes
For a crispier topping, use cold butter instead of melted. Adding a teaspoon of cornstarch to the raspberries can help thicken the filling.
