Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl and stir in the melted butter until combined.
- Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the baking soda, salt, and flour. Gradually mix into the banana mixture until just combined.
- If desired, fold in chopped nuts or chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow to cool before frosting.
