A delightful dish that balances the sweetness of scallops with a rich, zesty Cajun cream sauce, perfect for impressing dinner guests.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound scallops
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Rinse and pat dry the scallops. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Once hot, carefully place the scallops in the skillet and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add unsalted butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stir gently, and allow it to simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Return the scallops to the skillet, coating them in the sauce.
Notes
Ensure scallops are dry before searing for better results. Adjust Cajun seasoning to your taste preference.
