Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 pound ground beef
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cheese slices (optional)
- Burger toppings (lettuce, tomato, pickles, etc.)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter. Slowly add to dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Preheat a griddle or pan over medium heat. Pour batter to form pancakes, cook until bubbles form, then flip.
- Form ground beef into patties and season with salt and pepper. Cook until desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Place cooked patties on pancakes, add cheese if desired, and top with preferred burger toppings.
