Description

A delightful meal featuring smoky grilled chicken, zesty green chiles, and creamy cheese wrapped in a soft tortilla, perfect for casual dinners or filling lunches.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups smoked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup green chiles, diced
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack), shredded
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the smoked chicken, green chiles, cooked rice, black beans, cheese, cilantro, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until mixed well.
  2. Lay a tortilla on a flat surface and spoon 1/4 of the filling mixture into the center of the tortilla.
  3. Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top. Make sure the filling is secured inside.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the burritos seam side down. Cook until golden brown and heated through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Serve warm with sour cream on the side for a creamy dipping option.

Notes

For added kick, consider adding diced jalapeños. Substitute with whole wheat tortillas for a healthier option. Brush burritos with oil for a crispy texture.
