- 1 baguette, sliced
- 4 ounces smoked salmon, thinly sliced
- 2 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh chives or dill for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Mash the hard-boiled eggs in a bowl until mostly smooth. Add mayonnaise, cream cheese, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until creamy.
- Toast the baguette slices in the preheated oven for 5–7 minutes until golden and crisp.
- Spread a layer of egg mousse onto each toasted baguette slice, top with a slice of smoked salmon, and garnish with chives or dill. Serve immediately.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. Best assembled just before serving to maintain crispness.
