Description
A comfort food classic featuring tender turkey wings smothered in a rich, savory gravy, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 turkey wings
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon flour (optional, for thickening)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Season the turkey wings with salt, pepper, and paprika. Sear the turkey wings for about 3-4 minutes on each side until brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chopped onions and minced garlic. Sauté until soft and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
- If using flour, stir it into the sautéed onions and garlic, cooking for another minute. Pour in chicken broth and soy sauce, stirring to combine.
- Return the browned turkey wings to the skillet. Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for an additional 45 minutes, or until the wings are tender and fully cooked.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the turkey wings in seasoning for a few hours before cooking. Adjust gravy thickness by adding or omitting the flour.
