- 2 large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and slightly fluffy.
- Mix in the sourdough starter and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
- Add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges turn golden and the centers look set but still soft.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 3–5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Use room-temperature ingredients for optimal mixing.
