Description
A rich and creamy pasta dish featuring savory Italian sausage, fresh spinach, and decadent Alfredo sauce, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb Italian sausage, casings removed
- 3 cups fresh spinach
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage and sauté until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant. Stir in the fresh spinach and allow it to wilt.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring everything to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toss the cooked fettuccine into the skillet, ensuring each strand is coated in the creamy sauce. Serve hot, garnished with more Parmesan if desired.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream. You can also use chicken sausage or skip the meat entirely for a vegetarian option.
