  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Optional: garlic powder, paprika, or herbs for seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash the potatoes thoroughly and cut them into thick wedges.
  3. Toss the wedges with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings.
  4. Spread on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For crispier fries, soak the cut potato wedges in cold water for 30 minutes before baking. Don’t overcrowd the baking sheet.
