Description
A quick and delicious pasta dish featuring sausage and a sticky honey-garlic sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz pasta
- 1 lb sausage (Italian or smoked)
- 2 tbsp honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. While the water heats, mince the garlic and slice or crumble the sausage so it cooks evenly.
- Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Add 2 tablespoons honey, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup chicken broth, and 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Stir well and let the mixture simmer for 3–5 minutes so the sauce reduces and becomes slightly sticky.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss thoroughly to coat and heat through. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
For best flavor, brown the sausage well and taste before adding salt. This dish can easily be customized with additional vegetables or different types of sausage.
