Description

A refreshing and colorful salad combining strawberries, marshmallows, and crunchy crackers, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 package (3 oz) strawberry-flavored gelatin
  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 cup crushed crackers (like Ritz)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced strawberries and sugar. Let them sit for about 30 minutes to release their juices, creating a sweet syrup.
  2. In a separate bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in hot water. Stir until fully dissolved, then allow it to cool slightly.
  3. Fold the gelatin mixture into the berries, gently stirring to combine.
  4. Add the miniature marshmallows, whipped topping, chopped nuts (if using), and the crushed crackers to the strawberry mixture. Gently mix until everything is evenly incorporated.
  5. Refrigerate the salad for at least 120 minutes before serving to allow it to set.

Notes

This salad is best served chilled. Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor.
