Description

A bright, crunchy salad that pairs sweet strawberries with creamy feta and toasted walnuts, complemented by a poppy seed dressing for a delightful summer dish.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups mixed greens
  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup poppy seed dressing
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse the mixed greens and strawberries well. Pat them dry with a clean towel or spin them in a salad spinner. Slice the strawberries into bite-sized pieces. Chop the walnuts if whole.
  2. Place the mixed greens in a large salad bowl. Add the sliced strawberries on top.
  3. This salad does not require cooking. Optionally, toast the walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for 2–3 minutes until fragrant, then cool.
  4. Scatter the chopped walnuts and crumbled feta over the greens and berries. Drizzle with poppy seed dressing and toss gently. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.

Notes

Best served chilled or at room temperature. For variations, consider adding orange segments or using goat cheese instead of feta.
