Description

A refreshing iced tea with the sweet flavors of fresh strawberries and a hint of vanilla, perfect for hot summer days.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 4 cups brewed black tea, cooled
  • 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Wash and hull the strawberries, then slice them into halves or quarters. Chill your pitcher and glasses if desired.
  2. In a large pitcher, add the sliced strawberries and 1/2 cup sugar. Muddle the berries until they release their juices.
  3. Pour the cooled brewed black tea into the pitcher with the muddled strawberries. Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and adjust sweetness if needed. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Fill glasses with ice and strain the tea into glasses or pour with fruit for a rustic look. Garnish each glass with mint leaves and a strawberry slice. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a clearer tea, strain the mixture after chilling. Use ripe strawberries for best flavor.
