Description

These buttery, tender squares melt in your mouth with a rich white chocolate flavor and concentrated dried strawberry notes, perfect for tea time or as a light dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup dried strawberries, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the softened butter and powdered sugar in a bowl until fluffy, about 2–3 minutes. Mix in the melted white chocolate and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped dried strawberries.
  4. Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25–30 minutes until edges are lightly golden and the center is set.
  5. Allow to cool completely in the pan for at least 30 minutes. Cut into 16 squares.

Notes

For variations, consider adding lemon zest, almond extract, or swapping white chocolate for dark chocolate. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days at room temperature.
