Crispy ciabatta rolls filled with savory Italian sausage and gooey cheese, perfect for any meal occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 ciabatta rolls
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 diced onion
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage with the diced onion and minced garlic over medium heat until the sausage is thoroughly browned and the onion is tender.
  3. Add the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, stirring until well mixed.
  4. Cut the ciabatta rolls in half and hollow out a bit from the insides. Fill each roll generously with the sausage mixture, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Brush the outside of each stuffed roll with olive oil and place them on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden brown.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

These rolls can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen unbaked for up to 2 months.
