- 4 ciabatta rolls
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 diced onion
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage with the diced onion and minced garlic over medium heat until the sausage is thoroughly browned and the onion is tender.
- Add the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, stirring until well mixed.
- Cut the ciabatta rolls in half and hollow out a bit from the insides. Fill each roll generously with the sausage mixture, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Brush the outside of each stuffed roll with olive oil and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving warm.
Notes
These rolls can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen unbaked for up to 2 months.
