Description

A delicious and comforting dish featuring sweet potatoes and tart cranberries, perfect for holiday gatherings or cozy family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon thyme (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Layer the sliced sweet potatoes in the baking dish, then scatter cranberries over them.
  3. Mix heavy cream with salt, pepper, and thyme, then pour over layered ingredients.
  4. Top with shredded Gruyère cheese, breadcrumbs, and dot with butter. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove foil and bake an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown and fork-tender. Let cool slightly before serving.
