- 6 cups sliced apples
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix gently and spread in a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, softened butter, and salt until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture over the apples and bake for 30-35 minutes, until the apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or garnish with extra cinnamon or caramel sauce. Can store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for 3 months.
