- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup cookie dough (store-bought or homemade)
- Frosting of choice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture and carefully fold in chocolate chips and cookie dough.
- Divide the batter between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
- Once cooled, frost each layer generously with your choice of frosting and decorate as desired.
