Description

A classic deli sandwich with rich flavors and hearty ingredients, combining corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and creamy dressing on toasted rye bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of rye bread
  • 4 oz corned beef
  • 2 oz sauerkraut, drained
  • 2 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 2 tbsp Russian or Thousand Island dressing
  • Butter for grilling

Instructions

  1. Start by buttering one side of each slice of rye bread.
  2. On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer the corned beef, drained sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and dressing.
  3. Place the second slice of rye bread on top, with the buttered side facing out.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwich for about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  5. Once both sides are cooked, remove the sandwich from the skillet, slice it in half, and serve warm.

Notes
