Description

A delightful combination of sweet and savory flavors tucked inside flaky pastry, perfect for appetizers or snacks.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 apple, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut into squares. In a bowl, mix the apple slices, cheddar cheese, honey, cinnamon, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Place a spoonful of the apple-cheddar mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  4. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create a bundle and pinch the edges to seal. Brush each bundle with beaten egg.
  5. Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm with honey or a dipping sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
