Description

A bright, creamy, and simple salad made with sweet peas, sharp cheddar, and a tangy dressing.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen peas (thawed)
  • 1/2 cup red onion (diced)
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar (white or apple cider)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine the thawed peas, diced red onion, and shredded cheddar cheese in a large bowl. Gently toss the ingredients with a large spoon.
  2. Mix mayonnaise, sugar, and vinegar in a separate bowl until smooth and glossy.
  3. Pour the dressing over the pea mixture and gently stir to combine.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve chilled or cool. Pairs well with grilled meats or as a side at picnics. Store in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days.
